Visitor attraction, Yesterday’s World in Great Yarmouth is to go on the market once agents, Colliers International can estimate a price for the 150,000 individual items currently on display.
Simon Bland, Director at Colliers International said: “We obviously need to know the value of all of the exhibits in order to put a fair price on the business. Some of the items are over 100 years old, including a fully working restored Victorian fairground carousel. So we are looking for an expert with a keen knowledge of collectibles and ephemera to help us gauge the worth of some very eclectic items.
“I have to say this of one of the most unusual projects I’ve taken on.”
The Colliers International Director, Bland continues: “Once we’ve estimated the value we can then bring Yesterday’s World to market. It’s a fantastic local business and will present any budding entrepreneur with a great opportunity.”
Yesterday’s World opened in 2007 and is one of the best loved attractions in the seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. Located right on the Golden Mile, the museum promises to amaze visitor with its stunning life-size Victorian street and shop displays, original exhibits showing over 100 years of British history. The museum features a fabulous full size restored Victorian carousel, right in the heart of the attraction, as well as a famous themed Victorian café.
