The International Federation for Housing and Planning’s Centenary World Congress will be held at venues across the capital from 5 – 11 June.

The event will draw together influential experts from around the world, alongside 800 international property and development professionals, to debate the future of human settlements and shape of cities to come. We are delighted to confirm that Colliers International’s Consulting Division will be actively involved throughout this pivotal event, shining the spotlight on London.

Jonathan Manns, an Associate Director in our Planning team, will be running a day-long session alongside Colin Wilson (Strategic Planning Manager at the Greater London Authority) and Lisa O’Donnell (Head of Spatial and Environmental Planning at Westminster City Council). This will be the only London-focused event of its kind and highlight the issues facing London; including the need to facilitate and accommodate a significant amount of future development. Jonathan will lead discussion on how to approach the planning process with specific reference to challenges, policies and proposals across the capital.

Andy Delaney, a Director in our Development Consulting team, will then be taking part in a panel debate focused on the regeneration of East London – a key area for growth in this century. Andy will be joined by a number of influential industry experts including Eric Sorensen (former CEO of London Docklands Development Corporation) and Paul Brickell (Executive Director of Regeneration and Community Partnerships for the London Legacy Development Corporation).

A summary of the event, highlighting the key themes discussed, will be available on the Colliers International website after the event.
