Leisure specialist Colliers International has successfully re-let an Uxbridge gym, ensuring continuity for both staff and customers.
Rush Fitness Limited has taken over the lease for the property on Harefield Road in Uxbridge High Street after previous tenant, Fitness First, entered into a Corporate Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) and handed the building back to owners Molins Pension Fund.
Acting on behalf of the owners, Colliers International secured the deal for Rush – a new ‘no frills’ gym concept from Notting Hill-based personal fitness trainer Mark Anthony. This is the first of many units planned for the personal fitness business.
Ross Kirton, Director, Colliers International said: “Mark Anthony coming to Uxbridge is great news for the area and the health and fitness sector as he promises to develop and grow significantly. With existing staff being transferred to the new business, this is positive employment news too.”
The lease will run until 18 August 2041 at an annual rent of £180,000 per annum subject to a six month rent free period. The rent will be reviewed five yearly on an upwards-only basis.
Rush was advised by Brecker Grossmith. Furthermore, Brecker Grossmith are assisting in the roll out of more sites for Rush Fitness.
