Tokyo, 13 August 2018 - Top-tier global real estate services and investment management company Colliers International has appointed Ms Mari Kumagai as Senior Director of Research, Japan.

Based in Tokyo, Ms Kumagai’s role will be to work closely with Colliers’ Japan business leadership and the leadership of Asia research to build and expand our Japan research operation. She will establish a strong research platform that serves the needs of Colliers’ investor, occupier and developer clients in Japan. 

Ms Kumagai has a 24 year career as a consultant, senior credit analyst and senior equity analyst, focusing on the banking and finance sectors and, more recently, real estate. She has worked for well-known international and Japanese research firms including UBS, SMBC Nikko, Moody’s and Morningstar. She holds a degree in Law from Keio University in Japan and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management in the US, and is bilingual in Japanese and English.
