Akhtar Alibhai joined Colliers CRE in 2004. He is currently responsible for the disposal and acquisition of Industrial sites and premises on behalf of a number of funds and developers including Aberdeen-Standard Asset Management, M&G Real Estate, Legal and Genral Assurance Society Ltd, RLAM, SEGRO, Canmoor, Chancerygate, Goyo Developments and Prologis, as well as a number of occupiers including Grafton Group ( Buildbase & Selco Builders Merchants) Safestore Self Storage, The Coop, Greggs Plc, IKEA and Lidl.
Responsibility for customer relationship management, new business development and presentation of pitches.
The Coop - Disposal of a 30 acre site in Waltham Cross, Herts.
IKEA - Acquisition and disposal work including the recent sale of an 10 acre site in Sidcup to Chancerygate and subsequent forward funding to M&G Real Estate.
Greggs Plc - Stragetic advice and disposal of an 10 acre site in Southall, West London and acqusition of their RDC facility in Enfield
Exton Estates / RLAM -Acquisition and disposal work including Loughton Business Centre, 12 business units which were sold / let prior to practical completion of the units.
Legal & General -Acquisition and disposal work including Charles Park, Crossways, Dartford. Site acquired on their behalf and a multi-unit development totalling 200,000 sq ft was constructed which won the IAS award for best new multi-unit scheme.
Trade Investors - Acquisition and disposal work including McDonald Business Park, Hemel Hempstead, a recent acquisition, let within 15 months. Total portfolio size in excess of 5 million sq ft.
Advising Goyo Developments and Aberdeen-Standard Asset Management on a 161,372 sq ft speculative industrial and warehouse development, the first in the Park Royal area since the downturn in 2007. Central Park is a 6.5 acre site at the heart of Park Royal, Europe’s largest industrial estate. Units were available from 10,837 sq ft to 74,010 sq ft and let within a year of Practical Completion.
Advising Canmoor Developments and Aberdeen-Standard Asset Management on a 200,000 sq ft speculative industrial and warehouse development in Harlow, Essex and agreeing terms with Astro Lighting and Bunzl.
Selco Builders Merchants - Acquisition of new stores across the South East including Hemel Hempstead and Thurrock which won IAS awards for best transactional deals under 70,000 sq ft in 2016 and 2017
