Situated at 5 East Hermitage Place, Edinburgh, EH6 8AA, the nine-bedroom business, which also features a dining room and residents' lounge, has been acquired by Andy and Karen Ho. The purchase price was not disclosed but selling agent Colliers International confirmed that the asking price was offers around £750,000.
The Sandaig, which has attracted a loyal UK and international following during Marina Ferbej ownership spanning more than two decades, is made up of two adjoining terraced townhouses. It has an open outlook over the well-known Leith Links, the cradle of today's rules of golf, and is within easy reach of Edinburgh City Centre, as well as the nearby Ocean Terminal, the location of the former Royal yacht Britannia.
Alistair Letham, a director with Colliers International, commented: “Sandaig Guest House has been a well-established four-star star business on the accommodation scene in Edinburgh for many years and provides excellent and attractive facilities. Andy and Karen Ho have the comfort of knowing they are purchasing a business that has been well run and operated under the ever watchful eye of Marina Ferbej".
