The 2013 Bristol Professionals TRYathlon took place on Thursday 18 July, testing the determination and physical mettle of 150 competitors from across the business and its clients.
Comprising a 400m swim, a 16km bike ride and 5km run, the event took place at Bristol’s Tockington Manor School and included competitors from Colliers International clients such as KPMG, NatWest, PRUPIM, Unite and PPS Group, as well staff from across our UK offices. The event also raised valuable funds for our charity partner, Cancer Research UK.
Despite contending with soaring temperatures, competitors still managed some impressive times:
Steven McGuigan took the crown in the under 40s male category and Cye Hayes in the overs.
First female in the under 40s category was won by Millie Grey and in the overs, our very own Head of EMEA Marketing, Kristen Quillin, took the trophy.
First mixed team was taken by CBRT and the first all male team was won by our own Richard Wright, James Preece and Ben Jones.
Tim Davies, Head of the Bristol office, deemed by some as the dark horse of the competition, completed the race in 01:40:23. Tim comments:
“This event was the first of its kind for Colliers International, and provided a great excuse for us to do something fun and interactive with our clients and teams around the business, give something back to charity – and for many of us, much needed encouragement to get in better shape! We’re already looking forward to next year.”
