Hertfordshire County Council has taken 20,151 sq ft of space at Centrapark in Welwyn Garden City.

The deal, brokered by Colliers International sees HCC take the site, which was originally spec built for John Lewis in 2002, to use as a storage facility.

Joshua Pater of Colliers International, who co-ordinated the deal commented: “Hertfordshire County Council has taken the 15 years left on the lease from the John Lewis Partnership.

“We understand that they are planning to use the site as a Council storage facility.”

The unit has been taken at a rent of £160,000 per annum.
