DC7, a 86,741 sq ft unit, will accommodate Royal Mail’s expanding parcels delivery outfit, which is enjoying growth on the back of the rise in e-tailing business.
The unit is let by Dixons Retail, who have assigned their remaining three-year term to Royal Mail, at a rent of £5.25 per sq ft, following a rationalisation of their own distribution network.
Simon Norton, joint head of the industrial and logistics team at Colliers International, advised Dixons on their divestment strategy.
He said: “DC7 is one of only a handful of high bay distribution warehouses in Coventry. As a result, despite the time constraints on the lease, Dixons Retail had interest from a number of parties.”
