Property News Hatrick of deals for Colliers International

Smashed for Six

Representatives of the Birmingham office scored a resounding victory in the Inaugural RBS six-a-side cricket tournament hosted at Harborne Cricket Club on Wednesday 17th August. The squad comprised Messrs Myers, Hadden, Chittenden and Foster, ably supplemented by three clients from Zolfo Cooper and Hilco, resulting in a victory in the final over Mainstay Property Group by 34 runs. The team were marshalled/sledged from the sidelines by Simon Summerby-Bent who unfortunately failed a late fitness test on the morning of the tournament.

Following the victory Team Manager, Michael Maguire, extolled the virtues of his players claiming it to be “one of the proudest moments of my career at Colliers to date”.

The event was hosted by RBS with further participants including CBRE, King Sturge/JLL, Nurton Developments, Eversheds, and Squire Sanders Hammonds and will be covered in the Birmingham Post commercial property section. The teams’ entry fees were donated to Fairbridge, a charity supporting disadvantaged young people in the West Midlands. The defeat of the much vaunted opposition was celebrated in true Ashes fashion and we look forward to defending our crown in 2012!
