Property News Colliers appoints new Retail Out of Town Director

Laurence Edwards

Colliers International has expanded its Retail Out of Town team with the appointment of a new director, Laurence Edwards, who will specialise in out of town retail development and agency.

Laurence brings with him 29 years of real estate experience. He was previously Head of Out of Town Retail at Knight Frank. Prior to this role, Laurence was responsible for the out of town retail activity of bespoke retail practice, Markham Vaughan Gillingham, which he part-owned and that was sold to Knight Frank in 2008. Laurence also spent time before this as Head of Out of Town Retail and Head of South West Development at Chesterton PLC.

Laurence’s appointment follows other significant retail appointments made by Colliers, with the company recently announcing the recruitment of Stuart La Frenais as Head of Retail, Rob Fay as Head of Central London Retail, and Nicholas Round as Head of Shopping Centre Leasing.

Colin Dunkerley, Head of Retail Out of Town at Colliers International said: “We are delighted to welcome Laurence to our team. His extensive experience particularly in the development sector will enable us to further strengthen our offer in this sector and enhance our services to clients.”
