Asia, 11 November 2015 – For the fourth year in a row, more than 1,700 staff from Colliers International’s offices across Asia took a day off from work on 30 October 2015 to participate in the company’s social responsibility day – Out For Good. 

Launched in 2011, Out For Good’s mission is simple – to empower employees to make a difference in the local communities which they live and work in. Across Asia, Colliers’ employees partnered with non-profit organisations and participated in a multitude of local projects as a way to show their commitment to social responsibility.

The following is a list of all Out For Good projects which Colliers International carried out throughout Asia on 30 October 2015:



China – Beijing

Set up a charity fund for the Dandelion School, Beijing’s first and the only middle school for children from low-income migrant families

China – Chengdu

Cleaned up Chengdu’s important urban water supply area - "Yunqiao Wetlands" to improve Chengdu water quality as well as to maintain the ecosystem

China – Guangzhou

Participated in a beach cleanup and collected over 400kg of garbage

China – Shanghai

Revisited the Huimin Special School and took the children with disabilities to Shanghai Shenlong Ecological Park for a day trip

Hong Kong

Partnered with Hong Chi Association to organise a “Back to School” themed CSR day, sponsored uniforms for 200 students of the Hong Chi Morning Hope School for children with autism and had a fun day with the students

India – Bangalore

Supported the cause of environment and planted 100 saplings sponsored by Colliers India

India – Chennai, Mumbai and Pune

Supported orphan care by visiting the respective non-profit organisations and making donations

India - Kolkata

Visited an orphanage and sponsored the lunch for children and a puppet show

India – NCR

Engaged clients and conducted the ‘Step Out for Good’ campaign in support of the environment, which includes a 5km walk in the Aravali Bio- diversity park in Gurgaon and some environmental friendly initiatives


Visited a shelter for 18 to 21-year-old boys and girls, cleaned up their shelter, painted their rooms and had a fun time with them


Partnered with clients to support a shelter for single mothers and their children. Helped fit out the common room, installed new plastic windows and also donated clothes and food


Conducted a lesson on brushing teeth and washing hands for a group of school children in Ngwe Saung to reduce illnesses such as diarrhea

Philippines – Cebu

Visited the Hospicio de San Jose in Barili, a well-known home for the elderlies in Cebu, and donated food and daily necessities to the hospital

Philippines – Manila

Beach cleanup at Matabungkay, Lian Batangas after the recent typhoon. Collected more than 400 kg of trash and donated the recyclables to the community adjacent to the Matabungkay Beach Hotel


Provided befriending, cleaning, painting and gardening services to three different nursing homes for the elderlies; namely, All Saints Home (Tampines), Geylang Home for the Aged and SWAMI Home


Visited "Harmony Home", a shelter house for children and adults with HIV/AIDS and donated money, diapers and milk powder to the shelter house


Planted and moved more than 1,000 seedlings in Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park and Botanical Garden in Samut Prakarn Province


Travelled to Tien Giang Province to visit Nhan Ai Disabled School and donated the necessities to the school
