Global real estate firm, Colliers International has joined forces with Lance, a major local player in real estate investment and corporate advisory, to establish its business in Morocco. Lance will fully integrate into the organisation and will rebrand to Colliers International.

The new company, employs 15 people based in Casablanca; and will provide a full range of commercial property transactional services, with particular expertise in advising international companies.

Chris McLernon, CEO, EMEA at Colliers International said:  “Lance is the leading independent commercial property consultancy in Morocco and will be an excellent fit with our global business. This collaboration will allow us to offer clients a broad range of service lines in Morocco and reinforce our development in the Maghreb region; as well as most of Western and Central African countries.

“Morocco is a vital gateway to Africa and is an emerging market in terms of commercial real estate; therefore our expansion there presents exciting opportunities for us and our clients.”

Wafi El Yacoubi, Managing Partner of the new Colliers International in Morocco added:

“We are Morocco’s leading property consultancy and have always had international capabilities.  However, Colliers International gives us a global platform that will benefit both our employees and our clients. Our personalised approach will not change, but now we will have access to unparalleled global expertise across all real estate sectors via Colliers’ 15,800 professionals in more than 485 offices in 63 countries.”

Colliers International’s move into Morocco follows its EMEA office openings in South Africa and Israel; and the recent acquisitions of Urban Properties in the Netherlands and Briant Champion Long in the UK.
