What is the real estate strategy implemented by law firms ?


69,800 is the number of Lawyers in France in 2019. This profession is experiencing strong growth in France in a rapidly changing environment. Law firms, whether national or international, are faced with new challenges due to changes in regulations, increased competition and the gradual introduction of new technologies, such as "legal tech". All these issues have significant repercussions on their choice criteria in terms of real estate.

Through the missions that Colliers International carries out for law firms, we have observed that this sector is attached to shared and/or individual workspaces. 44% of the projects that we carry out for law firms correspond to shared offices (spaces with 2 to 8 workstations) and 37% to individual offices, compared to 18 and 15% respectively for all our projects in all sectors.
