Accelerating the sustainable transition of the real estate
In the Spanish real estate market, up to 80% of buildings are energy inefficient and our sustainable refurbishment rate to achieve climate neutrality, according to the UE goals for 2050, is less than 1%.
At Colliers we accelerate the energy transition by helping companies and investors to meet their sustainability goals providing them with the best services for decarbonization and energy efficiency processes in real estate assets.

A sustainable refurbishment of assets means, in addition to saving energy and reducing emissions, an improvement in the quality of life and environments for all its users, as well as being aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Spanish Climate Change and Energy Transition Law was signed on April 8, 2021. This is a regulation that toughens the objectives for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, so that by 2030 these emissions from the whole of the Spanish economy must be a 23% lower than in 1990.
To achieve this goal, it is essential to renovate the real estate park and to invest in sustainability. Our experts can assist you with obtaining the necessary funds to undertake the sustainable rehabilitation of real estate assets. EU Next Generation funds and national and regional plans focused on sustainability are the source of funding your project needs.
