iKasa, advised by Colliers, launches Tapestry by Hilton in Europe with a new hotel in Madrid

The hotel, which is situated at Calle de Atocha 107, will increase the hotel proposal in the Barrio de las Letras district of the Spanish capital.

Madrid, October 24, 2019. – The Colliers International Hotels Division has advised the property development group iKasa in its search for a hotel operator and negotiation of a management contract for the new Tapestry Collection by Hilton, which will foreseeably open in Madrid in early 2020.

The hotel, which is situated in the Barrio de las Letras district, will add 46 new rooms to meet tourist demand in Spain’s capital. Panoram Hotel Management, which has managed the nearby Double Tree by Hilton Madrid Prado hotel since 2017, will also run this new hotel. As a result of this operation, iKasa will launch a new brand of Lifestyle hotels in Europe, until now present only in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

“The interest of hotel brands in the Madrid market is at a record high,” says Laura Hernando, Managing Director of Hotels at Colliers International. “We completed the search for an operator in less than three months, handling the analysis of more than 20 firm bids in record time. Madrid is in the crosshairs of all players in the hotels industry and a particular focus for those international brands that have not yet established themselves here.”
