In March 2021, Colliers integrated a pioneer architectural firm for the application of videogame development technology to the conceptualization of spaces and real estate. These design technologies based on virtual reality have become globally popular boosted by the firm commitment of the giant Facebook, following its announcement to develop for metaverse. An immersive virtual environment where individuals interact with each other through avatars while performing all types of activities.

Colliers offers its clients the possibility to develop real estate assets in this new virtual environment, that will be used by more than 1 billion users in 2030. The real estate sector, along with the Entertainment or Retail industry, has been one of the first to take positions for metaverse. That is why we offer our clients the possibility to develop their assets in this new environment, helping them build an immersive reality experience,” mentions Mariano García Montenegro, Managing Director of Architecture & Building Consultancy at Colliers.

In Spain, specifically in the residential sector, they started using the metaverse of Decentraland. Beyond its promotion or branding, the metaverse can be a tremendous opportunity for singular projects, retail, hotels or even offices. The virtual space where these experiences are developed will be crucial to build user and customer loyalty. Our architecture team has an expertise in virtual real estate design, standardized formats in the metaverse, which becomes an advantage to apply their expertise to projects and clients around the world.” concludes Mikel Echavarren, CEO of Colliers.
