Mikel Echavarren is President and CEO of Colliers Spain and Portugal. He was President and CEO of irea since its foundation in 2002 until March 2018, when irea joined Colliers. Prior to joining irea, Mikel was a partner in Spain of the Real Estate Corporate Finance division of Arthur Andersen.
With over 37 years of experience in the real estate sector, he is an expert in NPLs portfolio transactions, M&A and property transactions. He has managed financial restructurings involving over €10,000 million euros of debt of real estate developers, construction and services companies.
Joan is Managing Partner at Colliers International. He was a founding partner of irea from 2002 and in March 2018 he joined Colliers International. He has extensive knowledge of the residential development market and the Spanish real estate market. He specialises in mortgage loan portfolio transactions, in restructuring bank debt and real estate company mergers and acquisitions.
Joan began his career at Arthur Andersen Barcelona.
Alberto Díaz is Managing Director of the Capital Markets Department at Colliers International. He has more than 15 years of experience and has developed most of his professional career in irea, a company integrated into the current Colliers in 2018 and in which he became Senior Director of the Corporate Finance division.
His experience is focused on real estate assets and corporate transactions, as well as financing structuring and distressed situations, having advised on transactions for more than 20,000 million euros.
In recent years he has specialised in structuring investment operations in the real estate sector, leading the relationship with international funds and creating alliances between developers and local equity companies and institutional funds.
Miguel is a Director Corporate Finance Department at Colliers International. He joined Irea Corporate Finance in 2007, and in March 2018 he joined Colliers International after the acquisition of Irea by Colliers International.
Since he joined irea in 2007 he has participated in the valuation and sale & purchase of assets and companies, as well as strategic planning and financial restructuring for industrial and real estate companies. He has taken part in transactions valued at over €2,500 million, €500 million of which comprised syndicated finance structures.
Miguel has been involved in providing advisory services for the sale of debt portfolios worth more than €40,000 million. Notable achievements include advisory services provided on the sell side to Sareb (Project Antares, Project Pegasus and Project Agatha) and Banco Popular (Arcadia and Patriot Projects), and also on the buy side to Blackstone (Project Quasar, Project Eloise and Project Tower), Apollo, Banco Santander and Citibank (Project Octopus) and Oaktree (Project Castle).
Antonio is a Managing Director in Corporate Finance departmen at Colliers International Spain. He joined Irea Corporate Finance in 2007, and in March 2018 he joined Colliers International after the acquisition of Irea by Colliers International.
He is specialized in advising on M&A transactions, on both the buy and sell sides, the sale of debt portfolios and debt restructurings.
Antonio is the responsable & director of an alternative financing fund, with an investment volume of € 200 million for the acquisition of land for residential use.
He has recently participated in the sale of several real estate companies, debt and REO portfolios to institutional investors, valued at over €4,000 million, created numerous JVs between real estate developers and institutional investors and restructured debt across the real estate secto.
He began his career at Deloitte Corporate Finance, where he was involved in a number of real estate M&A deals.
Laura Hernando is Managing Director of the Hotels Department at Colliers International Spain. She was partner of irea from January 2017, when she was appointed to partner after more than ten years of professional career at the firm, until March 2018 when irea joined Colliers International. She specialises in advising on hotel sales, as well as on the sale and purchase of debt portfolios secured by hotel assets and company sales. She also has experience in structuring financing for the acquisition and development of hotels, in financial restructuring for hotel and real estate groups and in strategic consultancy for companies with interests invested in the hotel sector, including the negotiation of management contracts with hotel chains.
She began her career as an analyst in the mergers and acquisitions department at Atlas Capital Close Brothers. Laura joined the irea Hotels division in 2005.
In 2017 Gonzalo joined Colliers as Director of the Hotel Team. Previously he had developed his profesional career at Irea´s hotel team for nine years.
Gonzalo has a financial backgroud which allows him to provide advisory services to Hotel and Real Estate companies in transactions (sell-side & buy-side), financial restructuring, search for financing, valuation of NPL´s portfolios, design of strategic plans to Hotel and Real Estate companies, hotel operator search and contract negotiation, feasibility analysis and hotel valuations.

Mariano García Montenegro is Managing Director in REMs & Technical Services. He started his career in FM Arquitectos before becoming in 2007 a part of CBRE Spain as National Managing Director of the Design & Build department for 10 years. In 2018 he cofounded HOLArquitectura, Architecture firm that has become part of Colliers in 2020.
He has more than 25 years of experience in the architecture field; he is an expert in workspaces as advisor and designer both for owners and tenants, counting also with a large experience in hotel and residential fields.
Rafael has more than 18 years experience in real estate and 12 in the Spanish market. Starting in Colliers International he has developed his career in top market players such as CBRE and BNP Paribas Real Estate.
He is Director of the Valencia office in Spain, oversees and develops the company’s business in the Valencian Community. Has wide experience in investment transactions, sale & leasebacks, retail, office and logistics letting and sales, consultancy and valuation for international and local clients.

Iñigo started his proffesional activity working for CBRE in Andalusia. He joined the firm in 1998 as consultant for market studies, land marketing, property valuation.
In 2001, Iñigo opened the Malaga office with regional responsibility for East Andalusia.
In 2005 is promoted to co-director for Regional delegation.
In 2010, is named CBRE Regional Director for whole Andalusia with full responsibility in all lines of business: residential, offices, industrial , valuation, high street, capital markets.
In 2017 Iñigo founded a new consultant firm named MRC CNSLTNG, The new company created by two professionals of real estate sector in Andalusia, putting together the expertise of more than 50 years of work in the area.
In that new project, Iñigo was on charge of develop the lines of sale of land, agency, consultancy and commercialization of residential projects, due to he has broad experience in those lines of work. MRC CNSLTNG performs its work in the area of Andalucia and has its office in Málaga.
In september 2019 Iñigo joins Colliers International as Director of Andalusia Office.
