The appointments underline that the will for business development is crucial, states Carsten Gørtz Petersen, CEO.
Colliers Denmark has added three new partners to its partner group as of 16 May 2022. The new partners are:
- Troels Lau Larsen, COO
- Flemming Michelsen, CFO
- Ulrich Reckert, Senior Director, Occupier Services
All employees work from Colliers’ head office at Toldbodgade in Copenhagen.
Troels Lau Larsen (aged 46) has been with Colliers since September 2019. Among other things, he has headed the implementation of a brand-new IT platform, the overall corporate strategy, communications and marketing as well as ESG. His previous career includes leading positions with e.g. Mærsk Drilling, DELL and most recently the position of Executive Partner and Head of Operational Excellence with Nordea.
Flemming Michelsen (aged 54) has since October 2018 been Chief Financial Officer in charge of finances, financing and budgeting, including strategic planning in interaction with the commercial part of the business. Flemming’s previous positions include those of CEO and CFO with PostNord.
Ulrich Reckert (aged 56) took over as head of Occupier Services on 1 May 2022, replacing former Partner and Director Lau Melchiorsen. During his 8 years with Colliers’ Occupier Services team, Ulrich has built a broad customer and knowledge base in the field of tenant representation, catering to companies requiring financial, legal and fit-out advice to optimise office properties.
Ambitious growth journey calling for diverse skills
“Colliers is undertaking a highly ambitious corporate growth journey, which requires that we develop all parts of our business: our financial management, our IT platform, our communications and our customer-oriented services. All those employees that really step up to drive this development may also be given the opportunity to achieve a real ownership stake in Colliers, and we have therefore, for the first time ever, appointed two partners with no direct agency or advisory functions,” says Carsten Gørtz Petersen, CEO.
In 2021, Colliers posted its best-ever annual results, including an all of 75% increase in gross profit from DKK 161 million in 2020 to DKK 279 million in 2021. In the same period, EBITDA rose to DKK 102 million.
“The results prove that we have opted for the right strategy, and that we already have the right talents to drive it. In terms of the partner group, the new additions amplify our commitment to putting strategic and long-term planning first in all parts of our business. Only by doing so are we able to build a platform for further expansion of Colliers in Denmark, in segments and regions where we are already present but also in new ones,” explains Carsten Gørtz Petersen.
The three new partners are appointed partners on the same terms and conditions that apply to the remaining Colliers partner group, now counting 14 Danish partners in addition to Colliers EMEA, the majority stakeholder in Colliers in Denmark.
Colliers’ overall financial objective is to double revenues by 2025 compared to 2020.
