Office Leasing

The market finished out H1 2021 with 213,000 sqm in take-up, a solid 22% above previous-year results. Despite this performance, H1 2021 results still fell 14% shy of the 5-year average and came in 10% below the 10-year average. Looking at each quarter individually, activity in Q2 accounted for 85,000 sqm. Q1 pulled in over 128,000 sqm in contrast, which more large-scale leases signed at the start of the year.

 

Investment

The Hamburg investment market closed out the first half of 2021 with a relatively moderate transaction volume of €1.3bn This H1 result fell 29% short of the strong previous-year result and 21% below the 5-year average. With a number of high-volume deals announced at the end of 2020, core products proved particularly rare in H1 2021.
