Our Case Studies
Our project management team assisted ZF Openmatics that wanted a modern office, which would be comfortable for his employees and reflect the philosophy of the company - these were the main instructions for the Design & Build team, which created an award winning design for the Pilsen based company.
We assisted the largest global communications group WPP with the co-location of twelve of its agencies to a new 16,000 sq m office space in a functionalist palace on Bubenská Street in Prague near the Vltavská metro station.
Jacob Douwe Egberts
We provided project management for JDE in its offices in Prague 4, which, thanks to the unique design created by our Colliers Design & Build team, resembles the atmosphere of a cafeteria.
Here are the top questions you might have about the project management process
What do Colliers’ Project Management services include?
Our Project Management experts will provide you with a wide range of services, including design team selection and management, document review, construction delivery management, quality assurance, risk management and financial controls. If your needs include tenant acquisition, lease negotiations or building operations, you might be interested in exploring our other services and specializations, such as Tenant Representation services or Real Estate Management Services.
What can I expect during the construction process?
We approach each project in phases depending on the scale. Our team of professionals oversees each phase, including:
- Inception / Feasibility phase, during which our team will help establish a budget and schedule and select a design team.
- Design phase, during which we help your team develop, modify, review and approve plans for the building or property and obtain necessary approvals.
- Bid phase, during which we help you select the right construction team to meet your needs.
- Construction phase, during which we help you complete construction of your project on time and on budget.
- Occupancy phase, during which we help you to make a seamless transition to the new space, commission the mechanical systems and close out the project.
How can I enhance the value of my property through sustainable design and construction?
In addition to reducing costs and increasing the overall value of a property, energy and sustainability projects can offer significant cost savings while delivering optimal environments for living, learning, working and healing. Your business can strengthen its brand through sustainability and wellness-focused classifications, such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®), the WELL Building Standard™ and the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM). And as these standards become increasingly significant and widespread, constructing or renovating a property in line with these standards can minimize future renovation requirements. Many of our project managers are professionals with experience implementing sustainable building practices that reduce energy consumption, minimize service calls and retain tenants. Our real estate, project management and sustainability experts will work with you every step of the way, taking a hands-on approach through each phase of the process.
As a property owner, what considerations should I take into account beyond my current project?
Short-term projects are important but without a long-term plan, property owners often fall into a cycle of repairing and maintaining facilities as the need arises, an approach that prohibits careful scheduling and budgeting. We can help you employ a strategic plan that puts the power back in your hands by offering a comprehensive assessment of your facilities needs and a program for prioritizing and implementing improvements. Strategic planning takes your present and future needs into account, offering multiple paths to achieving your goals as well as a thorough financial assessment of options.
Why wouldn’t I just leverage my own company’s project management resources?
Large-scale construction projects can be intensely demanding, and many organizations simply lack the resources to devote adequate attention to this process. Our project management team offers the professional staff you require with the requisite experience, attention to detail and availability to help ensure success.
