For our client, a Belgian investment holding company located in Brussels, Colliers Belgium's mission consisted in the fitting out of three exclusive spaces: firstly, the refitting and modernisation of the boardroom, as well as the fitting out of a meeting room and a cafeteria area.
With a ceiling height of 6 metres, walls covered in bright beige alcantara and framed by black lacquered panelling, the boardroom is impressive. It is, among other things, this high-end space that our teams have undertaken to revamp in the course of 2021, with a single objective in mind: to modernise this room by installing the latest communication technologies, while maintaining the original comfort and luxury.
The centrepiece of the boardroom is the large table, over 7 metres long, which sits 16 people. Finished in walnut to warm the atmosphere, it was completely custom-made to fit the size of the space, but also to accommodate the technology needed for hybrid meetings. This way, when you enter the boardroom, you would never guess that, at the touch of a button, 16 screens with cameras and 16 high-performance microphones emerge smoothly from this connected table, ready to communicate with the four corners of the globe.
On one of the walls, a large custom-made dresser, also in walnut finish, provides storage space, as well as a large screen. On the floor, our interior designer has created a pattern of beige lines in the black carpet, an art deco inspiration that recalls the spirit of the building.
Adjacent to the boardroom, another room has been completely fitted out: a corner office with an unbeatable view of Brussels, "certainly the most beautiful square metres and one of the most prestigious offices in Brussels" according to Bruno Meert, our interior designer dedicated to this project. Here, we are still working with the luminous and warm colours of beige and wood, with a few black accents, such as the carpet, this time beige with black lines. Chic, sobriety and luminosity are the key words of this office which can also be used as a meeting room.
Finally, the Colliers Belgium teams also designed and fitted out a room entirely dedicated to relaxation and informal moments: the cafeteria. This space has been fitted out in a playful-chic spirit, for example with the addition of a kicker and a ping-pong table, the use of a blue led slogan and coloured artworks on the walls, or the pattern chosen for the benches. Behind the benches, a wall entirely covered with mirrors adds dynamism to the room by reflecting natural light.
