Mazars, the international audit, tax and advisory firm, has chosen Louvain-La-Neuve as the location for its sixth office in Belgium, which opened in 2020. Colliers Belgium has been selected for a Design & Build assignment to fit out these new offices, located in one of the brand new buildings on the "Watson & Crick Hill" site, a green campus in the heart of the Louvain-La-Neuve Science Park. The building was delivered at the end of May 2020, and a few months later, in September 2020, our Project Manager and our interior architect were able to start the fitting-out work.
The open space is organised in two zones separated by two bubbles: the silent zone and the dynamic zone. The cupboards can be used as a high table, a two-in-one solution designed by our interior architect to combine functionality with aesthetics.
In the same spirit, a large piece of furniture separates the reception area from the cafeteria. On one side, a beautiful and decorative sideboard welcomes visitors. On the other side, the same piece of furniture offers various built-in storage spaces for the kitchen and some electrical appliances. Black slats have been installed in a diagonal pattern in the centre of the cabinet for a contemporary touch. The diagonal pattern is also reflected in the placement of the wood on the cabinet itself. From the moment you enter, the Mazars identity is strong and recognisable.
Contemporary and pure design, light woods, shades of grey and blue: this is the Scandinavian look that Mazars chose, in co-creation with our Design & Build team. A look & feel designed to reflect Mazars' brand identity: elegant, balanced and sober. The choice of colours for the different areas was also an important factor in the aesthetics and comfort. The two shades of Mazars blue, a nod to the brand's heritage, and a few touches of their secondary colours form a coherent and harmonious palette of soothing tones.
This project was completed at the end of 2020. See more photos on our Pinterest account.
