After having designed and managed the fit-out project for the Brussels headquarters of this client, a global player in the financial services sector, Colliers Belgium was again chosen in 2020 to fit out their European representative office, located in the heart of the European Quarter in Brussels.
3D renderings of the project
It is an office space of about 400 sqm that our Design & Build experts have completely refurbished and modernised. As a representative office, many guests and visitors are received here. Events are also regularly organised. The philosophy of this interior design project was therefore to develop a work environment that is not only functional, but also elegant. Our interior architect, Bruno Meert, and Project Manager, Eline Baudoux, paid particular attention to the details of this project, so that function, comfort and beauty could coexist.
Based on the existing macro-plan and layout principle, our team proposed a design, as well as a new look & feel with regard to the choice of colours, materials and carpets. All design decisions were made in collaboration with the client's German-based interior architect. Since travel was still restricted during the health crisis, all samples were validated remotely via video conference. However, this distance did not prevent good collaboration on the entire project.
A reception area, a kitchen, meeting rooms and 8 workstations have been fitted out with high-end finishes and the use of quality materials: a meeting table in walnut, designer chairs, a sideboard designed by a Belgian architect, 3D printed plaster panels, custom-made joinery, etc. Every detail has been thought out to reflect this impression of elegance and exceptional design.
In order to meet the needs of the client who regularly wishes to host a number of guests, our team proposed a fully modular meeting room. The room is designed for 16 people as standard, but can accommodate up to 32 people with movable panels. For this space, particular attention was paid to the air ventilation system, in order to guarantee optimal air quality, whether it is a meeting for 3 people or a walking dinner for 30 people.
Our client also wanted our team's advice on artworks to decorate some of the walls. Amongst these works, one of the colourful canvases selected by our interior architects now stands proudly.
The fitting out works were completed at the end of April 2021 and the client started to move back in from September 2021.
