Colliers takes substantial part in repositioning a strategically important industry stronghold in Vorarlberg
In Kennelbach near Bregenz, Colliers has let 14,000 sqm of production, office and logistics space to Julius Blum GmbH, the world’s leading manufacturer of technical fittings and assembly devices for the furniture industry. In doing so, Colliers has acted on behalf of the previous tenant Faurecia, a French-German automotive supplier, who decided to shut down their production and leave the site.
Cooperating closely with the landlord, Faurecia and local authorities, Colliers has managed to lease the location to Blum, thus ensuring jobs and achieving even more regional economic value. Thanks to these activities, Faurecia has been able to terminate a long-term lease agreement and realize enormous savings, while Blum can now establish their new production site in a region where industrial space is more than limited.
Finally, this adaptive and sustainable reuse also contributes to protecting the climate because the new production site can be established without sealing any additional areas. At the same time, even more qualified on-site jobs can be created, further strengthening the region’s economic value.
