Colliers brokered Bauernmarkt 1 to Ace & Tate

Ace & Tate's second Austrian store will enrich retail in Vienna's 1st district

Vienna, 26.04.2022. Stylish eyewear and accessories in historic walls: Ace & Tate moves into an area of 152 m² on two levels at Bauernmarkt 1, which is steeped in history. Situated on a visual axis with the main entrance to St. Stephen's Cathedral, the new store is hard to miss. Starting this summer, the product world of Ace & Tate will also be available in a prime city center location thanks to Colliers.


The Amsterdam-based DTC eyewear brand Ace & Tate was founded in 2013 and has been on a steady expansion course ever since. The fashionable eyewear is now available in more than 80 stores across Europe. Ace & Tate makes a virtue out of necessity: Their glasses are a visual aid and stylish accessory at the same time. Accessible prices are a cornerstone of the business model: High quality glasses with prescription are available at a fixed price of 110 euros. As of this month, Bauernmarkt 1 is home to THE LEO GRAND Hotel with 76 roomsand suites. History and zeitgeist also unite in THE LEO GRAND Hotel, which has its main entrance right next to the future store of Ace & Tate.

During her studies at  the Vienna University of Economics and Business Tanja Tanczer completed several internships at well-known real estate companies including  BUWOG, UNIQA Real Estate, Strabag Real Estate and Bondi Consult. She  also worked at a luxury fashion store in Vienna during her studies as a purchasing manager.

In August 2017 Tanczer  decided to combine her expertise in fashion and real estate and joined Colliers International Austria as a  Retail Consultant.

In 2019  she did not only become a member of the Colliers EMEA  Retail Core Team, but also became Senior Retail Consultant.

In August 2020 she got appointed as Head of Retail.
