The second location of the traditional Chinese restaurant Laolao will open in central Vienna in December
With the desire to serve just as good hand pulled noodles as grandma, 2 culinary experts opened a restaurant at Mariahilfer Straße 126. The name Laolao means grandma and helped the concept to great success. Therefore, the continuation is coming in Vienna's city center: Thanks to the brokerage of COLLIERS, a second Laolao location will open in December 2021 at Herrengasse 6-8. The 45m² space with an outdoor dining area is currently being converted from a former Felber branch into a stylish restaurant, located in the historic high-rise Herrengasse 6-8. The focus will be on take-away with street food character. A win-win for both office workers in the area and passers-by as well as tourists on the adjacent Michaelerplatz. The renowned architects Tzou Lubroth are responsible for the modern and at the same time familiar ambience.Tanja Tanczer, Head of Retail at Colliers Austria: "Laolao is a positive example of a successful gastronomy concept despite the pandemic - we are very pleased that Laolao is now also coming to the city center. The second location in Herrengasse is the ideal continuation to the first location on Mariahilfer Straße. Vienna is becoming more and more cosmopolitan and therefore the creative concept of the Laolao owners fits wonderfully to this special location in the high-rise building Herrengasse 6-8."
