As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Colliers Pinkard, Mr. Pinkard is involved in all activities of the full service commercial real estate firm.

Mr. Pinkard spends a great deal of his time consulting in regard to corporate, banking and legal real estate requirements. 

In 2003 he lead a team that sold The St. Paul Insurance Company's 10 building, 1.1 million SF, Mt. Washington Corporate Campus to the Johns Hopkins Institutions. 

With an expertise in headquarters relocation projects, he has advised:

• Westinghouse Electronic Systems Group on their $54 million headquarters joint venture
• BT Alex. Brown’s 260,000 SF office relocation
• Legg Mason’s 370,000 SF consolidation

Other consulting assignments include:

• Procter & Gamble's 250,000 sf build-to-suit distribution center in Maryland
• Black & Decker's 800,000 sf distribution center in South Carolina

His law firm advisory practice includes:

• Piper & Marbury’s 190,000 sf headquarters relocation
• Miles & Stockbridge's 121,000 sf headquarters renegotiation 
• Ober, Kaler, Grimes and Shriver’s 90,000 sf office lease
• Whiteford, Taylor and Preston’s 80,000 sf office lease

In the past, Mr. Pinkard has accumulated a diversity of sales and leasing experience, heading major investment sale disposition teams for clients like IBM and  The Oliver T. Carr Company.  Early in his career, he gained practical day-to-day experience directing the company's Property Management Department.

Mr. Pinkard is involved civically with many organizations.   As a Trustee of Johns Hopkins University, he serves on its Executive Committee; chairs its Committee on Trusteeship, Nominations and By-Laws; and is a past chair of the Buildings and Grounds Committee.  He also serves on the Board of Trustees and Facilities and Real Estate Development Committee for Johns Hopkins Medicine; and Chairs the National Council for Johns Hopkins Nursing.

Mr. Pinkard is a Trustee and Board Chair for the Baltimore Community Foundation; Co-Chairman of Baltimore Believe; a member of the Board of Directors of the Hippodrome Foundation; Board Member and President of the France-Merrick Foundation; member of the Board of Directors of the Maryland Business Roundtable for Education; and Trustee of the Leonard and Helen R. Stulman Charitable Foundation, Inc.

Past civic involvement has included Co-Chairman and member of the Board of Directors of Safe and Sound; member of the Board of Directors, Treasurer and Vice-Chair of Greater Baltimore Alliance; member of the Board of Directors, member of the Public Policy Council; and member of the Life Sciences Strategy Team for the Greater Baltimore Committee; trustee for the Maryland Institute College of Art; Trustee and Vice President of the Maryland Zoological Society; Chairman of the Yale Alumni Schools Committee of Maryland; and member of the Yale University Development Board; and a member of the Advisory Committee for the Johns Hopkins University Institute for Policy Studies.
