As a recognized and seasoned professional in the industry, Tim Seckinger brings more than 27 years of experience and has been involved in the leasing, construction, development, redevelopment, asset management, property management, facility management, investment sales, and acquisitions of commercial real estate. Tim oversees the business development, management and other related services focused primarily in the Houston region. Colliers Property Management Services initially hit the 2007 Houston market with 1.2 million square feet under management, and has made tremendous strides in the market with the portfolio growing to just over 4.2 million square feet in the fourth quarter of 2008. While President of Caldwell Watson, Tim grew the management company to over 5 million square feet in just under 3 years, ranking it amongst the top 20 largest property management companies in Houston.
Caldwell Watson, President - As President of Caldwell Watson Management for over 5 years, Tim oversaw all asset related services. While heading Caldwell Watson, he successfully grew the Asset Management division by 300%, increased the portfolio to over 5 million square feet in less than three years and tripled the property management staff.
Tim also provided exceptional leadership, vision, strategy and focus for Caldwell Watson’s Retail division. He led the retail team in developing a 20-acre site at the corner of State Highway 249 and Spring Cypress, which includes a Super Wal-Mart, as well as completing 3 national restaurant pad ground leases. He also defined the division’s focus for 24 months to include strategically placed retail sites to meet the increased demand caused by the residential growth and expansion in Northwest Houston. Additionally, Tim helped the team aggressively pursue new development, third-party leasing and management and existing products to enhance the portfolio value of Caldwell Watson and its investors.
Center America, Vice President - Before joining Caldwell Watson Property Management services, Tim also served as Vice President of Center America, which has become one of the largest and fastest growing private owner/operator of grocery store-anchored shopping centers. Handling new development for 4 Texas markets, Tim took on the task of increasing the portfolio value of under-performing properties by a combination of disposition, redevelopment, and use conversion.
Weingarten Realty, Vice President, Western United States -
Tim’s career includes a 14 year tenure at Weingarten Realty, one of the nation’s largest public REIT’s, with a portfolio of 200 income producing properties totaling 25 million square feet in 12 states. As Vice President, Tim was responsible for property and asset management of more than 4 million square feet in 5 states, producing more than $20 million in revenue. Occupancy remained higher than 90%. Tim enabled Weingarten Realty to open its first satellite office and later, he was operationally responsible for 5 additional satellite offices located in four states. He also managed all third party accounts, including:
• $68 million Prentiss Properties pension funds comprised of Readers Digest, Stanford University and Delta Airlines
• JV Partnership with Pain Webber, which included 1 mall and 6 shopping centers with funding greater than $50 million.
• Securing the redevelopment, leasing and management of a 350,000 square foot regional center in Las Vegas for New York Chase Bank.
• Oversight of the development and leasing of a partnership with Miller Development Company in Denver, CO.
For more than 10 years, Tim was involved in the acquisition and new development program, where he managed site approval, analyzed returns and pro-formas, future project viability, future capital expenditures, and budgeting for 10 year revenue/expense projections. Throughout his career, he has leased more than 3 million square feet and managed several national accounts such as Stein Mart, Albertsons and Ross.
Coldwell Banker, Retail Broker -
Tim began his real estate career as a broker for Coldwell Banker Real Estates Services. He worked in the sales and leasing of retail land, shopping centers and represented numerous institutional shopping center developers and more than 20 properties. In 4 short years, he leased more than 400,000 square feet while at the same time hiring and training several sales representatives.

Tim currently serves as Board Chair of The Houston Housing Authority which is governed by a five-member commission appointed by the Mayor of the City of Houston. The Board of Commissioners helps guide the Housing Authority by setting policy, providing leadership and oversight that enables the Housing Authority to reach its goals and advance its mission. Tim, as an individual, is committed to helping and giving back to the community and believes fully in their mission: “To improve lives by providing quality, affordable housing options, promoting education and economic self-sufficiency”.
