Colliers Property Management Services initially hit the 2007 Houston market with 1.2 million square feet under management, and has made tremendous strides in the market with the portfolio growing to just over 4.2 million square feet at the end of 2010. In July 2010 Colliers was ranked the 16th largest management company by HBJ (Houston Business Journal) with 4.2 million square feet. As President of Caldwell Watson Tim grew the management company to over 5 million square feet (top 20 in Houston) in just under 3 years, 300% growth rate.COMMUNITY:Tim served as Board Chair of The Houston Housing Authority for 4 years which is governed by a five-member commission appointed by the Mayor of the City of Houston. The Board of Commissioners helps guide the Housing Authority by setting policy and providing leadership and oversight that enables the Housing Authority to reach its goals and advance its mission. The Houston Housing Authority is a service-oriented business enterprise serving more than 55,000 people throughout the city of Houston. The agency owns and operates 19 housing communities, encompassing more than 4,000 rental units and more than 200 single family homes. They have an annual budget of $200+ million a year with over 200 employees. Tim was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Houston Housing Authority and its entities; establishing a system for ensuring that high quality service is provided to the residents and community stakeholders; ensuring the sound fiscal operation of the Authority while promoting services that are produced in a cost-effective manner; ensuring optimal fulfillment of the Authority’s Charter, Mission and Philosophy in response to the needs of the community. Strategized to leverage my tenor with the senior staff and existing network of influencers beyond top department heads. Focus on diverting the negativity, and to position for an inter-departmental Initiative that might lead to a department transition. Develop strategies that actively develop a shift in overall culture from within and permeate outside of the agency a new look of full cooperation from HHA.Diffuse many of the obstacles by transforming the top leaders perceptions of any direct threat and I am here as a resource.
