Mr. Bakke specializes in single tenant net leased retail properties and Mergers and Acquisitions nationwide, and is based in Los Angeles, California and New York City.

Shawn Bakke holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate Finance from the University of Southern California and in 1987 attended Cambridge University in England. Since Mr. Bakke began his career in 2002, he has successfully sold nearly one Billion dollars of commercial real estate, the vast majority in the single tenant and restaurant/C-Store  M&A space. He is currently an Executive Vice President of Investments.

Accomplishments

Shawn was the third ranked retail investment sales broker for Colliers in 2011, divesting 40 properties during that that same time. Mr. Bakke has consistently achieved the Max Green Circle of Excellence Award and the Everest Club, as one of the top ten percent of all Colliers brokers across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America during his tenure at Colliers.

Shawn began his commercial real estate career in 2002 at Marcus & Millichap, where he was given the distinction of Vice President of Investments, a title earned by less than 10 percent of the company’s agents. He also served as director of the firm’s net leased properties group. From 2005 through 2009, Shawn closed 136 single tenant transactions totaling more than $350 million. During this same time frame, he closed 111 restaurant and fast food transactions totaling more than $269 million. In 2005 and 2006 Shawn ranked within the top two percent of agents among all property groups at Marcus & Millichap. He is a two-time recipient of the firm’s Chairman's Club award, presented to less than one percent of all agents companywide.
