Career History
Roddy A. McAlpine merged his company, Mason-McAlpine, into Colliers International in 1999, where he is active in most areas of real estate. Mr. McAlpine has always represented his clients professionally and produced results through a “proactive” approach coupled with a personal touch, detailed research and analysis, creativity and immediate response.

Mr. McAlpine holds a BBA Degree from Texas A&M University and a MBA from The University of Texas at Austin. He holds a Texas Real Estate Broker’s license and has completed the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) education Program.

Professional Accomplishments
Mr. McAlpine has been involved in Houston and Northeast Harris County, Texas commercial real estate since 1977. Prior to that he was involved in the computer industry. In 1979, he formed Mason-McAlpine, an independent full service real estate brokerage firm, specializing in project consulting, leasing, sales, redevelopment and management. During this 20 year period, McAlpine was involved in the negotiation of more than 1,700 lease and sale transactions totaling over 10 million square feet of space for both Land and project owners, as the “owner” representative, and for clients, as the “buyer/tenant” representative. As one of the firm’s owners, he oversaw and participated in all aspects of the projects, including leasing, project and land sales, management, project development and redevelopment. He was directly involved in the marketing programs, advertising, accounting, architecture and design, site selection, project management, remodeling and construction of buildings. He remains a principal in Mason-McAlpine Management Company. He has been one of the "Colliers International Houston Office Top Producers" in 2004 and 2005.
Community and Professional
Mr. McAlpine is involved with the Kingwood Chamber of Commerce and is a member of its Economic Development Committee. Presently, Mr. McAlpine is heavily involved in the growing Northeast Houston Marketplace and is acknowledged as the “driving force” in numerous Kingwood, Humble and Atascocita Developments, including Kings Harbor, the new 25 acre Midway Companies Lifestyle Development overlooking Lake Houston.
Mr. McAlpine is involved in youth soccer, cross country and track, through sponsorships, coaching, refereeing and volunteering. He has also been heavily involved with a school PTA, as treasurer. McAlpine has previously or currently been involved with the Houston Office Leasing Brokers Association (HOLBA), the Houston Board of Realtors and the National Board of Realtors.
Mr. McAlpine is married to Patsy McAlpine and has three children – a daughter employed by Halliburton; a daughter at U of H Optometry School, and a son at UT Tyler.
