PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Ray's financial background provides an insightful view of real estate processes and transactions, while his broad business experience enables him to offer valuable advice on the peripheral issues arising out of real estate decisions, as well as the real estate decisions themselves. He currently applies these skills to represent corporate clients, striking a balance between the big picture and attention to detail.
Ray joined Colliers in 1980 in the capacity of Vice-President Finance, when he assisted with the international development of the Colliers network. He has served Colliers' Corporate Services Group as General Manager, involved with the North American development of people, systems and processes to serve an extensive range of office, retail and industrial users. Ray has also been active in the Vancouver business community, as a Director of the Downtown Vancouver Association and as a Commissioner on the Vancouver City Planning Commission.
His experience involves transactions with a value exceeding half a billion dollars, including project leasing and sales of high profile office properties, and tenant representation assignments. Tenant Representations have included office users such as Miller Thomson, Price Waterhouse, Citibank and Computer Associates; institutional users such as British Columbia Institute of Technology and Greater Vancouver Regional District; and industrial users such as Univar Canada. He currently leads the delivery of Colliers' services to the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
