Mr. Iglehart provides guidance to Colliers International’s Investment Services Group in Maryland and North Carolina. He oversees the sourcing, implementation and execution of the capital markets/investment sales activities for Colliers Pinkard, the leading full-service commercial real estate firm in the mid-Atlantic.
Mr. Iglehart counsels the organization of the origination, structuring and placement of real estate transactions involving equity and debt financing of retail properties, office buildings, industrial facilities, hotels and multi-family residential properties, as well as providing advisory services for owners of real estate held for investment.
Mr. Iglehart and his partners have handled assignments exceeding $3.5 billion in investment sales from Connecticut to North Carolina. The clients include IBM Corp., ORIX, Lend Lease, Archon, Lennar, Childress Klein, Crescent Resources, RREEF, Hancock, J.P. Morgan, LaSalle Advisors, GE Investments, CB Richard Ellis Investors, Dai Ichi Capital, The Rouse Company, Principal Capital Management, AEW, and AMB, in addition to numerous regional and local owners of income producing property.
Mr. Iglehart is involved in accessing, creating and managing relationships with institutional real estate owners and/or lenders. These functions include assessing client requirements and assuring the highest standard of service delivery. Projects include asset management, acquisition/disposition assignments, agency leasing and tenant representation assignments, appraisal/real estate tax consulting assignments, etc.
Mr. Iglehart supervises his team in marshalling an assemblage of company disciplines, or a single company discipline to execute the strategy for the client. He assists in developing the client knowledge necessary for Colliers Pinkard to formulate and match its resources to the client’s requirements.
As Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield's Financial Services operations from 1990-1993 for the eastern region of the United States, Mr. Iglehart oversaw a staff of 52 professionals in 15 offices providing investment sales and financing services. In his 2 ½ years at Cushman & Wakefield, his group was responsible for 227 transactions with an aggregate value that exceeded $2.8 billion.
As a Managing Director of Alex. Brown Realty Advisors, Inc., Mr. Iglehart initiated and managed the marketing program to introduce Alex. Brown Realty Advisors to the national community of consultants and plan sponsors and created the Atlantic Coast Fund, a closed-end commingled fund. From 1987-1990, he invested more than $350 million on behalf of the Oregon Public Pension Fund and the Atlantic Coast Fund. Mr. Iglehart was a part of the acquisition team that purchased F.I.A. Associates creating the entity known as Alex. Brown Kleinwort Benson, with $4.8 billion of assets under management ranking it, in 1990, the eighth largest real estate investment advisor in the United States. In 1994, Alex. Brown Kleinwort Benson merged with LaSalle Advisors.
Mr. Iglehart joined The RREEF Funds in September 1982 as a principal and opened the New York office. With seven of his partners, he led the discretionary investments for RREEF's tax exempt pension plan clients through a series of closed-end commingled funds. Mr. Iglehart was directly responsible for investing in 38 properties and indirectly involved in the investment in other properties. The aggregate value of these transactions exceeded $2.5 billion.
Mr. Iglehart began his real estate career with Colliers Pinkard in 1958 (formerly W C. Pinkard & Co., Inc.), where he served as the company's president from 1974 to 1982.
Mr. Iglehart has been active in a variety of civic involvements including several committees for the Greater Baltimore Committee including member of the planning council, member of the city/state fiscal relationships subcommittee, member of the economic development council marketing task force and a member of the transportation committee. Other involvements include a member of the board of directors for Valley Planning Council, Inc., a vice president and board member for the United States Lawn Tennis Association, a member of the board of trustees and life trustee for the St. Paul's School in Concord, NH, a member of the board of trustees for the Baltimore Museum of Art and a member of the board of directors and coach for the Orchard Youth Ice Hockey Program.
