L. Michael Wallace, vice president of the Industrial Group at Colliers International, has been with the firm since April 1998. He is a licensed real estate broker and valuation specialist with 13 years of commercial real estate experience.
Wallace’s business focus is serving local and national companies in the evaluation, leasing, purchase and disposition of real estate facilities and assets. He provides his clients with experience from a wide range of related disciplines including project development and renovation, appraising, cost estimating, feasibility/use analysis, tax consulting, expert witness testimony, and building management.
Wallace worked in the shipbuilding and petrochemical industries prior to joining the industrial division of Henry S. Miller Commercial, in El Paso, Texas. From 1986 to 1992, he worked as an appraiser with firms in San Antonio and Houston, specializing in complex commercial properties. After receiving the MAI professional appraisal designation in 1992, he formed his own company, Professional Real Estate Services, Inc. (PRES, Inc.), where his activities included brokerage, appraisal/consulting, development, and investment activities. He then spent a year with Partners Commercial Realty as an industrial specialist before joining Colliers Appelt Womack. Wallace has worked all sides of the commercial property equation as a broker/consultant, owner/developer, and appraiser, and has been involved in over 800 transactions.
Community and Professional
Wallace is an active member of the Gulf Coast CCIM Chapter, the Appraisal Institute, the Greater Houston Southwest and South belt/Ellington Chambers of Commerce, and the Society of Texas A&M Real Estate Professionals (STAMREP). He also recruits high school students for the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets.

A native of Orange, Texas, Wallace holds a Master’s degree in Real Estate, as well as an undergraduate degree in Economics, both from Texas A&M University. Wallace’s family of three, includes his wife, Angela, and sons Michael Jr. and Cameron Robert.
