Locum Destination Consulting rebrands as Colliers International Destination Consulting

Specialist destination consultancy, Locum Destination Consulting has rebranded to Colliers International Destination Consulting as of 1 August 2011.

Since the 1990s, Locum has been the UK’s leading consultancy practice specialising in destination development, leisure, tourism, culture, heritage and visitor attractions, and as of 2006, the team has been part of Colliers International, one of the UK’s top real estate advisory organisations.

The newly branded Colliers International Destination Consulting department will continue to specialise within the leisure, tourism and visitor economy sectors and deliver leading edge strategy and business planning advice.

In addition, the knowledge and expertise of the Destination Consulting team, combined with the skills and experience found elsewhere across Colliers, is already opening up major new opportunities for the organisation.  Colliers’ teams from the UK, often working in tandem with offices overseas, are now engaged on a number of high profile projects in the UK and internationally including: city centre regeneration schemes; major culture-led destinations in the Middle East; retirement community projects in China; and new international airport cities. This breadth of experience allows Colliers to play a valuable role across the entire project lifecycle beginning with the initial concept and working through with clients to successful delivery and operation.

Jim Roberts, the new Head of Destination Consulting at Colliers International said: “Bringing the Locum brand fully under the Colliers International umbrella means a further streamlined approach for our clients and will enable us to continue expanding our international work.

“Being a part of Colliers’ global network has already opened doors for us in the Middle East and Asia Pacific, where we have been working on a wide range of schemes including resorts, mixed-use developments, waterfronts and cultural and heritage attractions.

“We look forward to working even more closely with our Colliers counterparts across the globe and further enhancing our service offer to clients.”
