Colliers International instructed on Edge Lane Central, Liverpool

Colliers International’s Out of Town Retail team has been instructed as joint letting agents with Taylor & Co on the Edge Lane Central Shopping Park and Retail Warehouse scheme in Liverpool, following planning consent being granted in December.

Proposed by Derwent Holdings, the scheme is located on a gateway into the City, close to the M62 motorway and the Queens Drive Inner Ring Road.

The development involves a £200m regeneration investment and will comprise approximately 650,000 sq ft of retail accommodation together with around 200,000 sq ft of leisure space.

Demolition work has already commenced and It is anticipated that construction of the development will start on site in the spring.

Bob Fisher of Colliers International commented: “Retail interest in the Edge Lane Central site is already high. The site has the potential to become one of the best locations in the North West and is likely to be the largest and most exciting out of town retail development to come to the market over the next 2-3 years.”
