Mr. Parsley has been involved in all phases of the commercial real estate industry including design, construction and architectural for over twenty-two years. A native Houstonian, he returned to Houston in 1992 after spending over ten years as Sales Manager in the Midwest, Northeast & Southwest USA for commercial building products divisions of two Fortune 100 companies – Armstrong World Industries and the General Electric Corporation. After spending nearly three years as a Top 10 producer with the Grubb & Ellis company, John joined Colliers in 1999 and is a Principal and Director of the firm. He specializes in leasing (tenant representation) and investments including the acquisitions and dispositions of commercial buildings. During his fourteen years as a licensed commercial real estate professional, he has represented a wide range of public and private companies in the office, industrial and investment areas, including many law firms, energy, financial services and technology firms. He has been one of Colliers’ Top 10 producers consistently throughout his career and was named as a “Heavy Hitter” by the Houston Business Journal. John is a past President of the Houston Office Leasing Brokers Association (HOLBA) and I 2003 earned his SIOR designation from the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. The SIOR designation is a professional symbol of the highest level of knowledge, production and ethics. Only 2,800 commercial brokers worldwide have earned this designation and less than 1,000 are Office Specialists. His philosophy is to provide a high level of service to his clients, which means being involved in all phases including negotiations, analytical and market research while keeping the client fully informed throughout the entire transaction.
