John Keogh joined Colliers Dow & Condon in 2005 as a senior broker engaged in landlord and tenant representation and the purchase and sale of commercial properties for companies and individual investors. He has represented clients throughout Connecticut since 1984 in a broad range of real estate transactions.

Mr. Keogh was a broker for several years with Traub & Company, a New Haven-based firm founded by Carl Traub. While there he completed numerous sale and lease transactions, including the sale for Olin Corporation of a 130,000-square-foot building at 91 Shelton Avenue in New Haven and the sale of the 100,000-square-foot former headquarters of United Illuminating to Bow Tie Partners, which has renovated the downtown New Haven building to house a 7-screen art cinema and 50 luxury apartments.

He is exclusive leasing agent for Bow Tie Partners in the leasing of a 60,000-square-foot office park in Milford known as Merritt-95. He also represents Omni Hotels in leasing 20,000 square feet of retail space owned by the company in downtown New Haven. Last year he completed a 10-year lease in the space with the Barcelona restaurant chain

Mr. Keogh spent 10 years as a broker with William Pitt Commercial Real Estate in Stamford. He represented companies including General Re, Arkwright Mutual Insurance Co., Travelers Relocation, New York Life, NacRe, Airborne Express and DHL. He also brokered the sale of numerous large parcels of land on behalf of sellers and developers.

In 1996 Mr. Keogh became an independent broker based in Norwalk, where he continued his involvement in various aspects of the commercial real estate market. He represented the owners of a 50,000-square-foot office building in the complete releasing of the property and advised them in the negotiation of a restructured and refinanced mortgage. His tenant representation assignments included work for Phoenix Mutual Life Insurance, Champ Envelope Co. and the Bank of Darien.

Mr. Keogh served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Norwalk YMCA for nine years, the last two of which as its chairman. He was also a director of Merchants Bank & Trust Company.
