Jeff is an experienced investment professional working in the Real Estate Capital Markets advising clients on the sale, financing, and recapitalization of office, retail, industrial, multifamily, hospitality, and development assets in the New York metropolitan area since 2003. Jeff’s significant assignments include the sale of the Verizon Office Portfolio, comprised of 25 assets totaling 2,311,247SF, to GHP for $153M, the sale of the Starwood Ceruzzi and Starwood Wasserman Retail Portfolios, totaling 4,422,344 SF, to Inland Real Estate for $830M, and the sale of the Kushner Apartment Portfolio, comprised of 86 properties totaling 16,784 residential units, to AIG for $1.89B.
Jeff also serves as Co-Chair of Colliers’ Private Equity Practice Group (PEPG). The PEPG marries Colliers’ platform of services, including valuation, asset management, disposition, tenant representation, and agency, with the real estate needs of private equity firms and their portfolio companies globally.
Jeff joined Colliers in 2011 from Marcus & Millichap, where he earned the Top Producer Award in 2010. Prior to Marcus, Jeff was a senior member of CB Richard Ellis’ leading investment sales team, closing in excess of $8B in sales transactions from 2003 through 2009. In 2006 Jeff won CBRE’s prestigious Investment Professional of the Year award.
In addition to his role at Colliers, Jeff is a member of the New Jersey State Investment Council (SIC) which oversees the investment of the State of New Jersey’s $78B comingled public pension fund. Nominated by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and confirmed by the New Jersey State Senate, Jeff is a member of the SIC’s Executive Committee, Investment Policy Committee, and is Chair of its Nominating Committee.
The Fund, ranked 11th largest of US state pension funds and 36th largest in the world, is comprised of seven public pension systems: the Consolidated Police & Firemen’s Pension Fund, the Judicial Retirement System, the Police & Firemen’s Retirement System, the Prison Officers Pension Fund, the Public Employees’ Retirement System, the State Police Retirement System and the Teachers’ Pension & Annuity Fund, and supports approximately 770,000 active and retired employees.
Jeff was a member of New Jersey Governor Christie’s Transition Subcommittee in the Department of the Treasury from 2009 – 2010.
