Howard Grufferman is a Vice Chairmain in the Manhattan office of Colliers International. With over 25 years of New York City real estate experience, Mr. Grufferman has established a reputation as a premier lease negotiator adept at solving complex space issues for firms in the technology, legal and banking communities. He has successfully completed complex lease transactions for several large businesses and institutions, including the City of New York; Weil; Gotshal & Manges LLP; Federal Reserve Bank; Credit Suisse; and Alcoa.
Considered an industry expert, Mr. Grufferman has authored several articles for national real estate magazines and is frequently quoted in publications such as Crain’s New York Business and the New York Times. Additionally, he was named a “Hot Broker” nationwide by Commercial Property News.
Formerly a Vice Chairman with Grubb & Ellis, Mr. Grufferman joined the firm’s Downtown office in the spring of 1998, coming from Julien J. Studley, Inc. where he had served as the senior managing director and co-branch manager of the firm’s downtown New York branch since 1990. Prior to managing Studley’s downtown office, he was the co-branch manager of its midtown office; prior to that he spent two years as president of Blacks Law Publishing.
