Genny Hall has spent the past 11 years in commercial brokerage with a specialty focus on retail project leasing. She and her partner, Christin Jones, lead the Colliers Retail Leasing platform for Orlando.
Throughout her career, Genny has completed over $110 million worth of retail leasing transactions for properties including traditional power and lifestyle shopping centers, ground-up retail developments and specialty mixed-use projects. In addition to working with both regional and local developers, she has also represented a number of large institutional clients such as Simon Property Group, TIAA-CREF, GE Real Estate and American Realty Capital Properties.
In recent years, Genny has been recognized as a CoStar Power Broker and as one of Real Estate Florida’s Top 30 under 30.


  • EJ Plesko & Associates – Upon securing the leasing assignment for Millenia Crossing, the shopping center had an occupancy rate of 57%. Within 2 years, Genny was able to increase the occupancy rate to 100% by targeting a number of national tenants that needed a presence in the Millenia submarket, including Z Gallerie, Destination Maternity and Ulta Beauty; thus positioning the asset for sale.
  • Simon Property Group – Served on a team responsible for the 1,229,861 square foot portfolio that encompassed shopping centers West Town Corners, Highland Lakes and Terrace at Florida Mall. During this assignment, Genny managed to secure
    over 45,000 square feet totaling a value of over $3.7 million of new lease transactions. Included in that total was a deal with the Orange County Public Library System which backfilled a vacant Office Max and was valued at more than $1.4 million.
  • Ustler Properties – Advised the tenant mix of Shoppes of Ocoee, a 33,612 square foot ground-up retail development. Prior to the certificate of occupancy being delivered, Genny achieved a 97% rate of occupancy for the center. Five years later when the first round of tenants were expiring, she
    maintained 100% retention handling renewals.
  • TIAA-CREF – Represented the leasing efforts of four Central Florida retail locations owned by TIAA-CREF:
    Crossroads at Lake Buena Vista, Plantation Grove and Plaza Venezia I and II. While leasing Plaza Venezia I and II, Genny was able to maintain an occupancy rate of 100% even though the center experienced a 33% rollover rate in just one year.
