Colliers International was hired by local investors to market a 378,000 sf manufacturing and distribution facility that was built in 1974 and operated by the Johns Manville Company for twenty years. The building had fallen into disrepair and Colliers worked with the new ownership to identify defects and to help reposition the facility for lease in the marketplace. Edinburg, Virginia is in the heart of the Northern Shenandoah Valley which is home to many food production and agricultural businesses.
Colliers worked diligently to put the building in front of numerous manufacturing and distribution users and was successful in identifying one of the largest international food packaging and processing companies in the world as a lead tenant. Colliers worked with Bowman Andros Foods in securing a 165,000 sf lease for the building which is now food-grade compliant with USDA rules and regulations and continues to market the balance of the building for immediate occupancy.
