Organizational Structure

Colliers has a traditional governance structure, with a global board of directors and a regional chief executive officer leading each of our six world regions—Asia, Australasia, Canada, EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa), Latin America, and the United States.

Unlike networks, which are loose affiliations of independently owned companies, Colliers International has a shared global platform and a singular brand, common values, and the vision to deliver the best service experience.

Colliers has adopted an enterprise model—unique in our industry—that combines the accountability and strength of a global organization with the flexibility and accountability of local equity and management. We are also backed by our financial partner, FirstService Corp., a publicly traded investment firm.

Leadership & Awards

Colliers International is recognized as a leader in real estate services by independent news and industry organizations. Our awards and honors include being named the No. 1 real estate firm by Commercial Property News, the No. 2 commercial real estate brand by The Lipsey Company, and one of the Global Outsourcing 100 service providers by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals.

In addition to our commercial real estate accolades, we also embrace our leadership role in corporate social responsibility:

  • Philanthropy – We are the founding sponsor of Everyone Gives, the world’s social giving campaign, which raised nearly $750,000 to support nearly 1,500 charities worldwide in its inaugural weeks. We also fund a foundation supporting disaster relief for locations in need worldwide.
  • World Affairs – As members of the World Economic Forum and active participants in the Infrastructure & Development industry cluster, we support the mission of “improving the state of the world” and believe business can play a greater role in solving some of society’s toughest problems.
  • Sustainability – We are the founding global partner of the World Green Building Council, the Regenerative Network, and sponsor of many developing national green building councils. Many of our professionals serve as directors or advisers of these organizations.

Professional Development

Colliers International stands out in our industry for our unique professional development and training platform, Colliers University, which builds our expertise 25% faster to achieve better business outcomes. We’ve found that a curriculum that balances commercial real estate knowledge, general business skills and behavioral coaching accelerates both personal and professional success.

In addition, we are members of local, regional, national and international professional associations that seek to advance real estate practices and ethics, improving business and the built environment. Our executives are thought leaders, participating in forums and sharing their insight with the business community as a whole.
