Charleston, SC – Clarius Partners, LLC recently completed the purchase of a 100-acre tract of industrial land at Omni Industrial Campus, their third land acquisition at the park since it was placed on the market by WestRock Land and Development. Colliers International provided both buyer representative services for Clarius and landlord representative services to WestRock in the transaction.
The sale greatly expands Clarius’ capabilities for developing speculative industrial properties. Most recently, in the final quarter of 2016, Clarius entered into a partnership with Wanxiang America Real Estate Group, LLC to construct the largest speculative industrial building in the Charleston market, Clarius Building 1, at Omni Industrial Campus.
“Omni Industrial Campus provides the ideal location for our development efforts, especially its near-immediate access to I-26 via two interchanges,” said Kevin D. Matzke, Managing Principal of Clarius Partners. “We have been very pleased with WestRock and Colliers in this deal and look forward to pursuing more ambitious development opportunities like Clarius Building 1.”
James Hill, Vice President of Land and Development at WestRock added, “We at WestRock are thrilled that Clarius has committed once again to Omni Industrial Campus. We have developed a portfolio of high-quality industrial properties and land tracts, and we were happy with Colliers’ collaboration to ensure that our needs as well as Clarius’ were met to our satisfaction.”
Colliers International’s Peter Fennelly, MCR, SIOR, SLCR; Hagood Morrison, MBA, SIOR; Simons Johnson, SIOR, MCR, CCIM; Hagood S. Morrison; Tim Raber and Will Crowell were all involved in the collaborative transaction.
