Charleston, SC – The proposed road to the Charleston International airport has already attracted a major office and hotel development. Developed by experienced and proven Rushmark Properties, LAUNCH Charleston will be a modern, innovative office and hotel multi-use park located at the end of the proposed road, off of Montague Road.
“With Charleston County’s proposal for a new entry road to the airport, we recognized an opportunity to bring businesses and hotels to the Montague Road interchange with I-526,” said Bill Marcotte, Senior Vice President of Rushmark Properties. “There hasn’t been as much new office construction in recent years in this part of Charleston, and we saw our chance to build something modern, innovative and fresh in an ideal location for business.”
LAUNCH Charleston, as detailed on the property website, launchcharleston.com, will feature four four-story office buildings with more than 100,000 square feet of fully customizable space each, as well as three hotel pads ready for development. The park will feature many of the modern features and amenities that create a beautiful space for working, as is becoming more common as employers seek to attract and retain top talent, such as a reflection pond and walking paths throughout the park.
“Everything about LAUNCH has been designed to help propel business forward by being as collaborative, innovative and flexible as possible,” said Peter Fennelly, Market President of Colliers International’s office in Charleston. “Its key location near the airport and off of I-526 make it an unmatched opportunity for businesses who travel or welcome national and international clients on a regular basis. It’s the perfect business park as Charleston builds its global presence.”
Colliers International has been assigned the leasing of the office park and the management of the hotel bidding process. The team for the office portion of the park includes local office market experts Peter Fennelly, Market President; Mark Mattison, Principal; and Mike Palmer, Brokerage Associate. The hotel-focused team, meanwhile, includes development experts Daniel Pellegrino, Senior Brokerage Associate; Seth Clark, Senior Brokerage Associate; and Adam Griffin, Brokerage Associate.
