Columbia, SC - The 2017 Board of Directors for the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors® (SIOR) Carolinas chapter has been announced, and two of Colliers International’s Brokerage Associates in South Carolina have been elected to key leadership positions for the organization. Hagood Morrison, MBA, SIOR has been elected as the 2017 President for the chapter, and Dave Mathews, SIOR has been re-elected as Sponsorship Chair.
SIOR is an organization that bestows the SIOR designation to commercial real estate practitioners around the world who meet the organization’s high standards of professional excellence and achievement. The Carolinas chapter covers both North and South Carolina and currently has 159 members, including many of the top commercial real estate brokers across the two states.
Both Morrison and Mathews have previous experience in leadership positions with the Carolinas chapter. In 2016, Morrison has served as the chapter’s Vice President and Mathews has served as the Sponsorship Chair. Both men are also leaders within industrial brokerage at Colliers South Carolina and the state of South Carolina itself. Morrison, a Senior Vice President and Principal of Colliers’ office in Charleston, works not only with the local team of industrial brokers but also with the Colliers National Logistics and Transportation Solutions Group, for which he was the founding President and currently serves as a board member. Mathews, a Senior Brokerage Associate, is a leading industrial producer in the Midlands of South Carolina.
