Colliers International awarded leasing for Village at Sandhill shopping center

Columbia, SC – Colliers International’s Rox Pollard and Danny Bonds have been awarded the leasing assignment for a 237,063 square foot portion of the Village at Sandhill, of which 58,223 is available for lease. The 58,223 square feet encompasses 15 suites, ranging in size from approximately 1,200 to 9,000 square feet.

This leasing opportunity comes at a strong time for Columbia, South Carolina’s retail market, which filled headlines throughout 2014 with announcements of new retailers, restaurants, hotels and residential developments. Vacancy rates were down from 2013 to 8.0% across the market, and much of the absorbed space has been of high quality retail space along prime retail corridors such as Village of Sandhill.

Within this larger context, The Village at Sandhill’s prime location in the Northeast Columbia submarket makes it even more desirable for retailers nationwide. The Northeast Columbia submarket is home to one of the most popular and dense retail corridors in the Midlands. It consistently holds low vacancy rates and is a perfect entry point for new retailers to the market.
