Social Responsibility

Giving back is an essential part of who we are. We donate our time, talents and resources to causes that are meaningful to our employees, their families, our clients and communities.

We’re also deeply committed to socially and environmentally responsible business practices—the kind that keep our communities healthy while supporting the long-term success of business.

Links for Life - A Colliers Foundation

Created and overseen by Colliers International, the Links for Life California Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization dedicated to raising and distributing funds for local children and children's charities. The Silicon Valley office raises funds each year through pledge drives, popular events such as the Links for Life Bocce Ball and Poker tournaments, as well as individual and company contributions Since its inception in 1995, the Links for Life Foundation has given to over 100 deserving charities and has remained dedicated to be a link of hope in the lives of disadvantaged children in our communities.

Patchen Christmas Tree Farm

For the past 15 years, Colliers International – San Jose Silicon Valley has hosted an annual field trip for second graders to Patchen California Tree Farm in the mountains of Los Gatos. Volunteers from Colliers' San Jose and Redwood City offices make the trip to Patchen to welcome and host 200 second graders from Trace Elementary School. Nearly 60% of the school's families live at the poverty level. Colliers and Patchen launched the field trips in 1997 with Hester Elementary School, where it continued for seven years until Hester closed in 2004. Colliers followed the kids to Cory School, which closed the following year. Cory's kids then transferred mostly to Trace Elementary, which has participated ever since. In the 15 years of the Colliers field trip, more than 1,100 trees have been donated to families that may not have been able to afford a Christmas tree otherwise.

Organizations supported

Our goal is to raise the level of awareness and social responsibility within our company. We identify organizations that need our support and give our people the freedom to support the projects and groups that are important to them and their local communities.
