  • Union Cowork Leases Historic Unicorn Building in East Village

    Union Cowork, a neighborhood cowork space for small businesses and entrepreneurs, has signed a 10-year lease for the historic Unicorn Building. The 12,400 square foot, two-story building is located at 704 J St. Union Cowork is led by CEO Jamie Miller, and will be expanding its co-work concept at the property. This will be the fifth location in Southern California, including its two existing spaces in North Park, and additional projects currently under construction in Encinitas and Glendale. David Maxwell and Bill Shrader of Colliers International San Diego Region’s Urban Property Group represented Union Cowork and the landlord PREF Unicorn LLC, an affiliate of Paragon Real Estate Investments.

For more than 25 years, the team has specialized in urban sales, retail leasing, and advisory services and has completed more than 700 lease and sale transactions with a total consideration of $730 million and 3 million square feet. The team was previously affiliated with Cushman & Wakefield.

    SAN DIEGO, Calif. – August 11, 2014 – The San Diego office of Colliers International announces the sale of a 28 acre parcel of land with approved plans for Terraza, a 338-unit luxury apartment development, for $25,000,000. The property is located on the northwest corner of College Avenue and Old Grove Road, Oceanside, CA (92056) in the Rancho Del Oro master-planned community.

  • 4S Ranch Office Property Sells for $3.72 Million

    Coseo Family Trust of San Diego has purchased a 4S Ranch office building for approximately $3.72 million, according to brokerage firm Colliers International. The seller of the 26,500-square-foot property, at 17075 Camino San Bernardo, was Wheat Accessories LLC of San Diego. The buyer was represented by Colliers’ Richard Lebert and Matt Zimsky.

  • Acclaimed chef plans Rancho Santa Fe restaurant

    Since 1997, French Master Chef Patrick Ponsaty has been cooking his away around San Diego County’s finest restaurants. But come June, he’ll have a place to call his own, literally. In early summer, Ponsaty’s Restaurant will debut in the former Delicias restaurant space in the village of Rancho Santa Fe. Ponsaty is planning an upscale modern French-inspired menu in the dining room and a more casual tapas menu in the restaurant’s bar.

  • Blackstone Buys Oceanside Commercial Properties for $13.5 Million

    An affiliate of New York-based Blackstone Group LP has purchased 16 buildings and land parcels at Pacific Coast Business Park in Oceanside for approximately $13.5 million, according to CoStar Group and public data. The seller of the industrial and office properties, located on Rocky Point Drive and Avenida Del Oro, was an affiliate of Denver-based Prologis Inc., represented by Chuck McNary, Joe Crotty and Josh McFayden of brokerage company Colliers International.

  • Carlsbad Medical Office Building Sales for $4.4 Million

    Pacific Property Group of San Diego has acquired a Carlsbad medical office building for $4.4 million, according to brokerage firm JLL. The seller of the 6,350-square-foot property, at 2020 Cassia Road, was Amherst Properties Inc. of Carlsbad. The buyer was represented by JLL’s Paul Braun and Chris Ross, and the seller was represented by Jon Walters of Colliers International Group Inc.

  • Ingenu Leases 28k SF in Scripps Ranch Submarket

    Ingenu agreed to a lease for 27.9k sf at Horizon Tech Center, a 157.9k sf office complex in San Diego’s Scripps Ranch submarket. Ingenu is a pioneer in delivering connectivity exclusively to machines connecting to the Internet of Things (IoT). Built in 2008, Horizon Tech Center consists of three, two-story, LEED Gold-certified office buildings. The property, which has 10-foot ceilings, is situated on an 11.35-acre site in close proximity to major thoroughfares. The building is located on Meanley Dr, just east of Scripps Ranch Rd, and adjacent to I-15.

  • KBS Welcomes Ingenu to Horizon Tech Center

    San Diego – The Horizon Tech Center in San Diego recently expanded its tenant roster after owner KBS Real Estate Investment Trust II completed a new leasing agreement. New tenant Ingenu is a company that focuses in connectivity solutions for devices that connect to the ever-growing Internet of Things. Ingenu inked a deal for 27,855 square feet of office space at the tech center. JLL representative Jay Alexander handled KBS REIT II’s end of the transaction, while the new tenant was represented by Colliers International’s Ron Miller.

  • Miramar Industrial Building Sells for $8.45 Million

    Los Angeles-based Rexford Industrial Realty LP has purchased a multi-tenant industrial building in Miramar for $8.45 million, according to brokerage company Colliers International Group Inc. The seller of the 60,000-square-foot building, at 8525 Camino Santa Fe, was Camino Santa Fe Investments LLC of San Diego. The buyer and seller were represented by Colliers’ Evan McDonald.

  • Pima Medical Institute Plans New Location in San Marcos

    Health care education provider Pima Medical Institute has signed a long-term lease for a space at the North City mixed-use development in San Marcos, the project’s developer announced. A statement from Urban Villages San Marcos said the private school has signed a 15-year lease, valued at more than $16 million, to occupy 40,000 square feet. It will be the second local campus for Arizona-based Pima, which has 16 U.S. locations including one in Chula Vista.

  • Colliers International Arranges $10.5M Sale of Lowe's Property in Metro Charlotte

    Colliers International has arranged the $10.5 million sale of a 135,197-square-foot, single-tenant Lowe’s Home Improvement store located in Concord, roughly 25 miles outside of Charlotte. Jon Busse and Greg Copps of Colliers represented the seller, Carolina Emerald LLC, and Brad Grow of Colliers represented the buyer, Tailwind Charlotte Retail LLC, in the transaction.

  • San Diego Apartment Property Sells for $370k per unit

    In a recent multifamily sales comp from San Diego, a six-unit, 4.5k sf property sold for $2.225 mil, or around $370k/unit. The asset consists of two land parcels totaling 12.4k sf and situated just half-a-block from Mission Bay and the Crown Point Park.

  • San Diego Apartment Property Sells for $429 per unit

    Carlone Family Trust paid $3 mil for a 7.1k sf, seven-unit ($429k/unit) multifamily property in San Diego. The asset, located at 4514-16 Utah St, west of I-805 and south of I-8, was sold by Pujji Development LLC, a San Diego-based developer, in an off-market transaction. 4514-16 Utah Street includes a renovated single-family home and newly constructed three-story apartment building with covered parking. The unit mix is comprised of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment and loft style units. Renovations and construction were completed in December 2015 and the property was fully occupied at the time of sale. Peter Scepanovic and Corey McHenry of Colliers International’s Multi-Family Advisory Group represented both parties in the transaction.
