  • Airport Distribution Center I Sold for $2.65M

    October 17, 2014: Colliers International Raleigh | Durham is pleased to announce the sale of Airport Distribution Center I, a 73,000 square foot industrial building, located at 5101 Nelson Road in Morrisville, North Carolina, to Dalfen America Corporation for $2,650,000. David Divine and Rick Amon represented the seller, BT12, LLC, in the transaction. Prior to the sale, Airport Distribution Center I, 5101 Nelson Road, was in receivership. As the court appointed broker representative, Colliers Raleigh | Durham was able to reduce operating expenses and address deferred maintenance. Within 10 months, the property value increased and the property was sold, satisfying the lender’s interest and fees. Located in close proximity to the Raleigh Durham International Airport, I-40 and I-540, the building is an exceptional location for logistics and e-commerce companies. Dalfen, a private equity firm with headquarters in Dallas, plans to renovate the building to Class A standards.

  • Six Forks Office Condominium Sold in Raleigh

    September 15, 2014: RALEIGH, N.C. – 8319 Six Forks Road, Suite 201 in Six Forks Office Park has sold. Duke Boykin and Kathy Gigac of Colliers International Raleigh | Durham represented the seller. The Class A office park, located in North Raleigh, was built in 2007 and consists of 6,500 square feet of office space.

  • Two New Leases at 6131 Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh

    September 9, 2014: RALEIGH, N.C. – One Springfield Center, a three-story, 56,653 SF office building located at 6131 Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh, North Carolina, has secured two leases totaling 7,713 SF. The Gigac-Walker Office Team of Colliers International Raleigh | Durham represented the Landlord in both transactions. New tenants, New Penn Financial LLC and Boomerang Design, both occupy space on the second floor. Available space ranges from 2,550 SF to an open 9,250 SF, all on the first floor.

  • Colliers International Closes $4M Sale of Student Housing Facility in Elon, N.C.

    December 20 2013: ELON, N.C. – The Colliers International Student Housing Group has closed the sale of the Crest at Elon apartment community for $4 million. The apartment community caters to the students of Elon University, a private liberal arts school, and is 100 percent occupied. The university is master leasing the 50,400-square-foot student housing facility. Steven Peden, Senior Vice President for Colliers International | Raleigh-Durham, in conjunction with Sean Baird, Associate of the Student Housing Group for Colliers International, represented the seller, The Preiss Company. A California-based private investment group purchased the student housing facility. The buyer elected to keep Priess as the management company for the property, in order to maintain a strong relationship with the university. “By keeping the current management in place, the buyer maintained a relationship with the university to continue the master lease and eliminate lease-up risk,” said Baird. “Tier three universities are seeing greater interest in the marketplace as strong yields and cash flows can be found with minimal competition from established student housing operators.” The 42-unit, 168-bed student housing facility is located at 756 E Haggard Ave. on the Elon University campus.

  • Lee Holder and Frank Quinn of Colliers International Broker $2.3M Sale of Cary Flex Building

    June 19, 2013: Lee Holder and Frank Quinn of Colliers International represented Saia-Burgess, in the sale of 312 Gregson Drive in Cary, North Carolina. The 72,000-square-foot flex building sits on 9.5 acres and was purchased by Triad Educational Services Inc., owner of the Triangle Math and Science Academy charter school currently located in downtown Raleigh. The new owner is renovating the property and anticipates the new school to be ready for the 2013-2014 school year.

  • Woodside Bike Shop Purchases Apex Building

    April 11, 2013: Colliers International | Raleigh-Durham is pleased to announce that Woodside Bike Shop has purchased 924 Center St. in Apex, NC and will be relocating to the 1,120 SF space soon. The specialty retailer originated in California and focuses on BMX, MTB, components and custom bike sales along with repair services. Baxter Walker and Kathy Gigac represented the seller in the transaction.
